Spring is blooming Part 1
This morning Puppy and I took our weekly long morning walk- he sniffing everything within reach, and me checking out everyone's flowers. Almost every house had garden beds bursting with color, mostly tulips, daffodils, and muscari. It was a lovely blue skied sunny day; if not for the fact that I was wearing a winter coat, hat, and mittens, it would have been very nice.
At the end of our walk we headed down to the growing field to take a look at the soil. Bob already tilled the soil, so I'm ready to plant as soon as I get the rest of my seeds delivered and it gets warm enough for the bulbs. Oddly enough it does seems to be warm enough for the weeds, they are already growing. I'm itching to get started digging and planting. It's a little embarrassing to look at everyone's beautiful garden flowers. Here I'm the cut flower grower, and there is hardly anything blooming in my yard!
The best part of our walk this morning was that we didn't see any other dogs out. It was so quiet. Puppy walked along very nicely. We walked for about an hour and a half, and when we arrived home we were both ready for a nap.
